They didn't come for us this time. The cow had other plans.
Strange Trails Wilderness presents the Cattle Light Beam series — because alien abduction lore has always had one unsung hero, and it has four legs and a bell. This minimalist design captures the classic scene: UFO, tractor beam, one very calm cow, and an alien watching from below with absolutely zero chill. Clean, dry, and deeply relatable to anyone who has ever felt like the cow.
Perfect gift for farmers, ranchers, rural humor fans, sci-fi lovers, conspiracy theorists, and anyone who grew up in a town where the news once covered a cattle mutilation. Part of the Strange Trails Wilderness series — collect them all.

From Concept to Field Issue
Illustration & Design
Every badge, print, and patch begins as hand-drawn artwork in our studio. We reference vintage National Parks Service documentation, topographic maps, and field sketches from actual wilderness surveys.
Material Selection
We test blanks from multiple manufacturers against field conditions: wash cycles, UV exposure, abrasion from pack straps, and temperature extremes. Only materials that survive our standards become part of the catalog.
On-Demand Production
Each order is printed individually in our Pacific Northwest facility. This eliminates overproduction waste and ensures every piece receives individual quality inspection before packing.
Field Verification
Selected items are issued to our volunteer field team for real-world testing. Feedback from actual wilderness observation posts informs updates to sizing, fabric weight, and print placement.
All cotton blanks are sourced from manufacturers certified under the Better Cotton Initiative. Water-based screen print inks eliminate PVC and phthalates. Archival poster papers are FSC-certified and acid-free.
