You're going to want to study this one.
The Strange Trails Wilderness Area Full Zone Map is the complete field guide to the most unusual wilderness on record — all five zones charted, labeled, and connected by dashed trail lines with distances marked, because even out here someone had to do the cartography.
Zone 01: Amber Ridgelines — open golden ridge country where the light arrives first and stays longest. Zone 02: Dense Forest — old growth campfire country, a glowing tent in the trees, the kind of forest that watches back. Zone 03: Misty Basin — a fog-filled valley where bioluminescent jellyfish drift above the mist and strange flora grows in the white. Zone 04: Frostkin Snowfield — high alpine snowfield, Frost Peak and Opal Summit rising above, small dense figures moving through the ice and cold. Zone 05: Elder Opal Canyon — deep canyon floor, glowing crystal formations, the oldest place in the wilderness and the hardest to leave.

From Concept to Field Issue
Illustration & Design
Every badge, print, and patch begins as hand-drawn artwork in our studio. We reference vintage National Parks Service documentation, topographic maps, and field sketches from actual wilderness surveys.
Material Selection
We test blanks from multiple manufacturers against field conditions: wash cycles, UV exposure, abrasion from pack straps, and temperature extremes. Only materials that survive our standards become part of the catalog.
On-Demand Production
Each order is printed individually in our Pacific Northwest facility. This eliminates overproduction waste and ensures every piece receives individual quality inspection before packing.
Field Verification
Selected items are issued to our volunteer field team for real-world testing. Feedback from actual wilderness observation posts informs updates to sizing, fabric weight, and print placement.
All cotton blanks are sourced from manufacturers certified under the Better Cotton Initiative. Water-based screen print inks eliminate PVC and phthalates. Archival poster papers are FSC-certified and acid-free.
